Shauna & Adam

Shauna and Adam grew up in Ontario but found each other in Calgary, Alberta. Shauna from Toronto and Adam from New Liskeard, they decided on a wedding venue that was in the middle. Once again, I was over the moon impressed with the service at the Pinestone Resort. Everything from the food to the decor was fabulous!

Going into this job I was a little nervous. Shauna and Adam expressed to me that they were not artistic individuals and that they were not looking for artsy images. I guess my own insecurities got to me and I wondered how I would pull this off. I’m not sure what I was thinking. lol.

I learned a valuable lesson.  All I need to do is simply capture photographs as I have always done. The photographs tell their own story! The artistic preference of my clients doesn’t change the way I do my job. I am a wedding photographer because I love capturing those intimate spontaneous moments that last only seconds. A kiss from the bride’s father, the look on the grooms face when he sees his bride coming down the isle or a mother looking on as her daughter puts on her wedding dress. I don’t need my clients to be artistic in order to create beautiful images. That’s where as a photographer I use light, shadow, laughter, tears, and joy to tell the story in a beautiful way.

Each wedding is unique and beautiful just as you are. Your wedding is distinctly different from the next couple. But, I will tell the story in the same way.  I tell the story with images of you. xoxo
