Bigfoot Engagement

When Lauren and Michael fist contacted me to photograph their engagement session they said they were looking for something non-traditional and silly. They where looking for a photographer who could capture a funny and active session. I was game.

Before they gave me the run down on what they had planned and assured me they were not insane, they sent me a link to a photography blog with a zombie engagement post that had inspired them. (the link is at the bottom).

They were staying at a family cottage on Lake Kashagawigamog in Haliburton. It only made sense to keep it Canadian. A warm summer evening, a bottle of wine, a campfire, some roasted marshmallows and a Sasquatch.

Diego + Amanda , Rustically Elegant in Haliburton, Ontario

Diego & Amanda

As the son of a timber framer, it only made sense to have the reception in the groom’s family barn. Located on a beautiful property between Haliburton and Minden, Ontario. The wedding was completely gorgeous. The lights, the DIY decor, the roses and lace all made for a rustically elegant affair.

Chris + Lisa …Sir Sam’s Inn Wedding, Eagle Lake

If I was to plan another wedding for myself (which I hope never to do. lol) I would be following and Chris and Lisa’s footsteps. Relaxed, carefree and intimate.  Chris and Lisa were married at the beautiful Sir Sam’s Inn & Waterspa on Eagle Lake. Surrounded by their family and closest friends, they said their vows overlooking Eagle Lake on a beautiful autumn day in October.

Sofie & James – Double, Double Trouble

Sofie & James are the second set of twins born to this busy family. Four kids under the age of three in one house. Controlled chaos at it’s finest. They were photographed on their 6th day of life. We started shooting indoors, but the cool air from the A/C kept them awake. As soon as we moved outdoors into the hot humid Ontario summer heat they drifted off to sleep, snuggled in their cozy basket.
