Bigfoot Engagement

When Lauren and Michael fist contacted me to photograph their engagement session they said they were looking for something non-traditional and silly. They where looking for a photographer who could capture a funny and active session. I was game.

Before they gave me the run down on what they had planned and assured me they were not insane, they sent me a link to a photography blog with a zombie engagement post that had inspired them. (the link is at the bottom).

They were staying at a family cottage on Lake Kashagawigamog in Haliburton. It only made sense to keep it Canadian. A warm summer evening, a bottle of wine, a campfire, some roasted marshmallows and a Sasquatch.

This is the end…

The end of 2013, that is. I’ve been stressing all morning about the little things I haven’t tidied up before year end. Little things, like figuring out why when I post individual images on my blog they have huge gaps between them. Things like updating my website with current work or even doing a “Best of 2013” post. Frankly, I don’t have time today and there is no sense stressing about it. I’m grateful for both the little moments that I do have between entertaining three small children today and the moments we’ve spent playing and laughing together.  I’ll get to those things on my list when I get to them.

For now, I will share a favourite moment of 2013. Lauren and Michael will be married in Pamana in 2014.This was just one hilarious moment captured during their engagement session this past summer.
